She is an ordinary girl until 11 September 2020 when the results of UPPSC were announced. She topped in UPPSC after failing in UPSC consecutively two times.

Early Life & Family

Anuj is from Panipat, Haryana although she was born in Sonipat. Hustler Nehra has the support of her all three family members including her papa Ashveer Singh who is a retired Sargeant from the Indian army. Her mother Usha Nehra who is a homemaker and her brother Vikas who like his dad chose to serve the country but by becoming a doctor.

Education

Miss Nehra is studious from her childhood. She completed her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya. She secured 97% in tenth class and 94% with PCB in her higher secondary school exams. Anuj Nehra did her bachelor’s in Chemistry honors from Hansraj College, University of Delhi. She graduated in 2013 and from that time she is preparing for UPSC.

Talking about her family, Anuj stated that her dad is her real inspiration. Her father belongs to a small village in Sonipat. He got selected for the army after his matriculation. Her mom is also a matric pass. Ashveer Singh realized during his service that he would progress more if he was more educated. Being less educated always pinched him. He then decided that he will do everything possible to provide quality education.

After retirement, he shifted from his village to Panipat where both his children could get the best educational resources. His kids fulfilled his dream.

Study Routine

The 27-years-old UPPSC  Topper had a long journey before this achievement. She prepared for 6 consecutive years. After completing her graduation, she put her soul in preparation for UPSC. Her first love is still UPSC.

She used to study for around 12 – 14 hours daily on an average. She stated that she used her previous experience to clear this exam. Anuj Nehra appeared in UPSC two times but she failed. However, the revision she used to do for UPSC became a building block for her UPPSC preparation.

Ms. Nehra was determined this time and want to crack UPPSC at any cost. She worked hard and made it. Furthermore, she is an inspiration to many. She was inspired by her will. Even her previous failures can not subjugate her courage. we should learn from her that previous failures do not define our future, we can change our destiny anytime with our hard work all we need is determination and desire to fulfill that goal.

• Anuj was asked a question about Vikas Dubey the famous gangster of UP, She said she continuously covers all current affairs. So, it was not difficult for her.
