Ekta Kaul (born 16 May 1990) is a popular Indian TV actress, dancer, and model. She made her debut with Zee TV’s “Rab Se Sohna Isshq” a romantic & family drama in which she played the lead character “Suhani”.

She made her mark from shows like “Bade Acche Lagte Hain” of Sony TV, “Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi” of Sony Pal and as Riya Mathur in “Mere Angne Mein” of Star Plus. Ekta also a good dancer, participated in “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” Season 6.

Early Life, Parents & Education

Ekta Kaul hails from Jammu Kashmir, India to middle-class Kashmiri Pandit family.

Ekta’s father Rajinder Kaul and mother Vimmi Kaul have always been supportive of her. Ekta says that her mother always motivated her that whatever she wants to do she must give her best for that.

Ekta has 2 siblings, one brother Mohit Kaul and one sister Bharti Kaul and both are younger to Ekta.

The Kashmiri girl says she has always been dearest and closed one to her grandparents especially her grandmother, Rani Kaul.

The popular actor has always been good at her studies and gave the best results. She completed her graduation in Biotechnology and did an MBA after that. She started her career with Nestle as the manager and later when she got posted to Mumbai she tried her hand in acting.

Fortunately, she got her first TV show “Rab Se Sohna Isshq” (2012) as the lead actress. Later she participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and impressed her audience with dancing skills. In one of the interviews, Ekta revealed that during her school days she used to perform in Bharatanatyam.
