Dr. Thandi Ndlovu (born in 1954 – died August 24, 2019) was a South African Former President, Businesswoman, and National President from Soweto. She was the founder and Executive Chairperson in a company named “Motheo Construction Group“.

Recently, on August 24, 2019, Ndlovu passed away at the age of 65. She died after she got involved in a horrible car accident on the N4 in Rustenburg. The road collision took place on Saturday when Thandi was on her way to a funeral on the N4 in Rustenburg.

Later, she was rushed to the nearby hospital but the business was not able to survive. Furthermore, Dr. Thandi established the construction company back in 1997. It is one of the largest BEE construction companies in South Africa.

She started her career immediately after completing her college education. Ndlovu began her training within the ranks of Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) at the African National Congress Military Wing.

In 1976, she became the part of the contingent of MK cadres. The businesswoman also served within MK as a Senior Political Commissioner. She even worked as a commander and was later appointed a Medical Officer overseeing the health needs of the soldiers.

The 65-years-old businessman then ran a private medical practice for five years in Orange Farm. It is an informal settlement south of Johannesburg. She used to work as a private practitioner and also delivered medical services.

In 1978, Thandi was posted to the Union Soviet Republics for additional training. The late founder won the Business Women of the Year Award in 2013. The award was presented by the Business Women’s Association of South Africa.
